Human Resources, are without question, the most important asset within the structure of any organisation. Thus, the primary goal of the Human Resources department of SSK, is to support the operational departments with the provision of sufficient skilled, competent and motivated personnel, in order to achieve the operational goals of the organisation; the most important goal being the provision of a broad spectrum of services to its members and clients.
Internal services rendered by the Human Resources department involves amongst other things, Appointments and Testing of Candidates, Service Contracts, Personnel Administration, Training and Development, Occupational Health and Safety, Management of Remuneration, Disciplinary and Grievance Procedures, Consultation and Counselling and Labour Law Advise.
The Human Resources Department ensures that the practices, policies and procedures of SSK comply with prevailing labour and other regulatory legislation. The organisation also complies with the reporting requirements of the Department of Labour, as well as Agri Seta.

SSK is accredited to offer apprenticeships in the following trades: Electrical, Diesel Mechanics and Welding. Successful candidates are given the necessary academic background and practical exposure under mentorship in order to complete their trade tests in the particular trade of their choice.
